The FDIC took receivership of Silver State Bank on September 5, 2008. Directed the development, implementation and management of company HR activities to include recruitment, employee relations, workers’ compensation, unemployment, safety programs, new employee orientation, management counseling and affirmative action plan. Consults with and advises management on legal and related personnel issues.  Responsible for all phases of benefit and retirement administration.  Developed and recommended new policies and procedures for approval by the Board of Directors. Directly trained, supervised and evaluated up to 5 employees. Oversaw human resources for the Choice Bank merger and charter collapse. Built the Human Resource department from infancy stage to a well functioning department. Guided the department through a 200% company growth, merger and IPO while supporting 400 employees in 8 states. Developed and executed a reduction in force that reduced headcount by 10% company wide. Implemented, rolled out and trained ADP ezLabor which resulted in a streamline of the payroll process, increased accuracy and decreasing payroll processing time by 3 hours. The department received “superior” audit ratings for 3 consecutive years from an independent audit firm.   Coached management staff to reduce turnover rates by 5% with no legal action taken against Silver State Bank. Decreased the workers’ compensation rate by 1% and unemployment rate by .30%. Assisted FDIC with closure of employee benefit plans and personnel administration function and coordination of file transfer from Silver State Bank to FDIC and assuming bank. Assisted contracted payroll company with coordination of on boarding/payroll process for all Silver State Bank employees to their system. Acted as Human Resource liaison for the FDIC and Receivership Assistance Contractor during receivership period. Human Resource Generalist     Williams-Sonoma, Inc.(Pottery Barn Call Center)                                                                                        2002- 2005 Operate as a specialty retailer of home products.  The company sells its products through five retail store concepts, seven direct mail catalogs and six e-commerce websites. Ran the day to day operations of the Human Resource department to included recruiting, employee relations, benefit administration, workers’ compensation, unemployment, safety program, new employee orientation and management counseling/trainings.  Developed written safety program to ensure state and federal compliance.  Analyzed, developed and rolled out company restructure plan.
